MUHASABAH AIDILFITRI
Alhamdulillah wa syukurillah. We already went through a
month of ramadhan, a special month that we as a muslim fasting, solat tarawikh,
month of al-quran and sedeqah and all our ibadah were multiplied ten times.
"Taqabbala Allahu minna wa minkum." (تقبل الله منا ومنكم)
("May Allah accept from us, and from you.")
("May Allah accept from us, and from you.")
May Allah accept all of our ibadah even its not
perfect. Ameen.
Ok, I don’t want to talk more on ramadhan.
There are a few things that we can look through
and improve during aidilfitri celebration.
1. Pay attention at your INTONATION when talking
with other.
Alhamdulillah, in Malaysia the culture of
visiting our relative still be implemented.
And, it is a precious time because some of us,
aidilfitri is the only time we meet each other face to face. Even, we may be
know the updated story from them through social media. However, hari raya is
the best time to know more about themselves.
Therefore, mind your INTONATION AND WORDS when
asking sensitive questions such as when you will be married, when you will get
a baby, when you will finish study and so on.
If we ask with soft intonation, inshaa Allah, no
one will feel upset but feeling cared by others.
2. TEACH our children the adab when visiting such as i) shake hand when visit
other, ii) sit properly at others house, iii) be patient if the hostess
preparing foods and drinks, iv) say thank you when receive the duit raya v)
don’t open the angpow immediately when received it.
3. As a parent, hari raya is the best time for you
to INTRODUCE the generation of the family (generation). Even you already tell
them previously, ask them again to test their knowledge and tell them the
importance of knowing the relatives. Then, when our children married, again we
need to introduce our relatives to our new family members. Don’t aspect they
will know themselves.
4. When we get married, the culture of our family in
law in celebrating hari raya may be different compared to our family. Therefore,
try to ADAPT the new culture it. If its good adapt to our small family and if it not good, don’t
critic it, don’t implement it to our children.
Salam Aidilfitri to all 😘
